Morocco make history, shock lackluster Spain to reach their first World Cup quarterfinals

 After a 0-0 draw in Education City, Morocco stunned Spain to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals on the strength of a penalty shootout goal by right-back Achraf Hakimi.

After Spain missed three penalties and lost the shootout 3-0, Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain scored with a Panenka penalty. And Morocco became the first Arab country to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament, making history in the process.
